Biography
Dr. Cornwell joined the faculty at Towson University in 2016. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Brigham Young University, and received his doctorate from Michigan State University. After his graduate work he held postdoctoral positions at Duke University and University of Quebec in Montreal.
His research has focused on studying questions in low-dimensional topology (he spends most of his time in dimension 3) by using both algebraic and geometric tools. He has presented his research at numerous conferences, seminars, and colloquia.
